Steve Royal
Network Manager (Norfolk & Suffolk)
Steve Royal has been an integral part of Konectbus since joining as Operations Manager in 2006, bringing with him a wealth of industry expertise and a passion for public transport.
Steve’s interest in buses began in his childhood years when his father gifted him a model bus, sparking a lifelong fascination. He started his career with Eastern Counties in 1988, based at the old Norwich bus station, where he initially managed lost property. From there, Steve advanced to the role of scheduler and, in 2000, was promoted to Operations Manager (then known as Traffic Superintendent) for Norwich.
In 2006, Steve joined Konectbus as Operations Manager, a role he held until 2019. Today, he plays a pivotal role on the management team, contributing strategic ideas for network development.
Outside of work, Steve is an avid enthusiast of Transport for London. He enjoys exploring the city’s bus, underground, and train networks, often spending entire days immersed in the intricacies of London’s public transport system.
