Derek Gibson
Engineering Manager (Essex & Suffolk)
Derek is a City and Guilds qualified engineer and brings with him a wealth of experience in the bus industry. He spent 20 years on the shop floor covering all aspects of vehicle repair. He was a manger in the Arriva group for circa 30 years covering depots from the Midlands to the North East of England.
Derek joined the Go Ahead group starting work at Go North Wests Queens Road depot, before moving to its Wigan Depot at the commencement of the Bee Network in Manchester. He had full responsibility in ensuring the fleet met group standards. Derek joined Go East Anglia in July 2024.
In his free time Derek enjoys walking, cycling and classic cars.
